The Bridgebuilders Network was established in March 1996 as a response from the Pacific Basin Consultation for Presbyterian Women Leaders held in Auckland, by the Association of Presbyterian Women of Aotearoa New Zealand.
It is an organization which has achieved a high level of professionalism. It stages high caliber seminars with leading professional speakers from political, scientific, health, cultural and related fields as well as producing quality resources.
The Bridgebuilders Trust "Families First" project is about 'closing the gap', making a difference to the gap, to benefit New Zealand society as a whole. We believe that better outcomes for families will improve the welfare of at risk families and reduce the cost to the State in health, education, employment and social welfare.
This project gives educational tools for families and employment skills for women who have little or no hope of full employment or re-shaping their future
